DESCRIPTION

Jardin d’Éden

Vision paradisiaque, à la première heure, du premier matin, du premier jour!

Nouveau-né, résultant du fruit défendu.

Soutenue par la main (matrice-mère-nourrice).

Au second plan, un arbre (phallus et père) étant ses bras et sa force.

Mouvement protecteur, porteur de sève, de vin et de fruits.

Au dernier plan, Dieu toujours présent!

Jubilation ou condamnation?

On sait le reste de l’histoire mais cette sculpture tend à la réécrire!

Eden’s Garden

Paradise vision of the first hour, the first morning of the first day!

A newborn results from the forbidden fruit and is supported by mother hand.

In the background, a tree representing the father’s arm and strength.

A protective movement carries sap, wine and fruit.

God ever present, jubilation or condemnation?

As we know the rest of the story, this sculpture tends to rewrite it!

Team NB, the SnowHackers, will be returning a 4th year at the Quebec International Snow sculpting competition from Jan 27th -29th, 2012

L’équipe du Nouveau-Brunswick, les SnowHackers fut choisi pour une 4e année consécutive pour représenter leur belle province au Carnaval d’hiver à Québec les 27, 28 et 29 janvier 2012 pour l’International de sculpture sur neige – volet canadien.

Aujourd’hui, je sors du lit et je me regarde dans le miroir.Ohhh!..je ne me reconnais pas, ce reflet n’est pas le mien …Pourquoi mon corps a-t-il changé?Je désire l’ignorer et faire semblant que c’est juste un rêve… Qui d’autre que, soi-même, pour choisir son destin?Mais, cette dame au grand cœur et à la beauté intérieure, elle n’a pas changée.Cette dame, c’est moi…Je l’aime comme elle est et je lui rends hommage dans toute sa grandeur. C’est un bon début de journée!

These ICE BARS were carved for the COLD PARTY event in Moncton NB in October. A few smaller carvings were made as well for a cold touch. Molson Canadian was the main sponsor for this event and I was ask to make beers cans with the Coors Light logo along with mountains and an ice hand holding a beer can!

We, as the Snow Hackers, have been chosen for the 3rd consecutive year to represent our province this coming season at the Quebec Winter Carnival for the International Snow sculpting competition. Our new piece will be titled ”REFLECTION”…mmmm?…Have you ever looked at yourself in the mirror in the morning?

We encourage our population to encourage our team so we can be our best ever during the competition this winter on January 28, 29 & 30th, 2011! Leave us a few words on our blog!

L’Équipe du N.-B., les Snow Hackers fut choisi pour représenter notre belle province pour une troisième année consecutive à Québec pour la compétition Internationale de sculpture sur neige, Volet Canadien, en janvier 2011. Nous sommes super content et très fière d’avoir la chance de retourner au carnaval d’hiver à Québec l’an prochain!

Notons que la mention des Artistes, remise par Madame Nancy Lefrançois, de Via Rail Canada, fut décernée par les sculpteurs participants à l’équipe du Nouveau-Brunswick, composée de Monette L. Léger (capitaine), Charles Léger et Raymond Nadeau pour la sculpture intitulée «L’Acadie dans l’âme » en 2010. Est-ce que l’Équipe sera en mesure de se procurer une autre mention en 2011??
